What Does The Bible Say About Darkness? What About Halloween?

What does the Bible Say:

No matter what we go through in life experiencing the darkness, always makes you appreciate the light.

Whether you are facing demons, making a terrifying life decision, or something exciting, and scary. With that being said, there is nothing that can teach us better than the Bible, when it comes to the darkness, evil and even things of demonic nature.

The Bible teaches us about good and evil, and
wisdom about darkness, deception and fear.

So Halloween? Hmmmm....
The answer is pretty clear, read below!

Here are some related scriptures:

1. 1 Corinthians 10:21 "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons."

2. Ephesians 5:11
"Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them."

3. Ephesians 4:27
"And give no opportunity to the devil."

4. 1 Peter 5:8
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

5. Isaiah 5:20
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

6. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22
"But test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil."

7.Romans 13:12
"The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light."

8. James 4:7
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

9. Ephesians 5:15-16
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil."

10. Titus 1:15
"To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled."

11. John 3:19-20
"And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed."

12. Luke 10:19-20
"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

30-Day Water Challenge: Join In To Improve Your Health In Amazing Ways!

The 30-Day Water Challenge and its Benefits!!

Water
is necessary for your overall well-being. Every single cell, tissue, organ, and body part needs water to keep them in good working condition, and to help regulate your body's temperature.

Hydration is essential for your health. You simply must have adequate water each day.

The water challenge is simple:

You agree and pledge to drink the recommended daily intake of water, which is 64 ounces daily, for 30 days straight.

You'll feel amazed at how great you will feel, by just having fresh water running through your body! If you can do this for 30 days, then you can always continue doing so for your overall health in the long term.

Even though 64 ounces is the recommended amount, you can calculate how much water you need to drink daily for your specific needs by dividing your total body weight (lbs.)
by TWO. Whatever that weight is, drink the same amount of OUNCES of water. Easy!

A few tips on how you can stick to your water challenge:

 1. Try to buy reusable water bottles with measurements on the side, so you can keep track of how much that you drink.
 2. Get a friend or family member to take this challenge with you, so that you each can encourage one other. It's good to have support.
 3. Plan your day's water intake out and space it. Set a timer to remind you when it's time to drink your water.

** I personally use disposable bottled water, as well. To make sure that I stay on track, I set my bottles out each morning, so that I'll remember to drink them!

Can Christians Vent?

Venting
is letting out strong emotions over certain situations.

When we talk to a trusted someone over something that happened or how someone treated us — this is venting.

We are expressing our emotions through words. It's a harmless way to let out steam, which is important! It allows us to calm down and rationalize our thoughts and emotions. We just want to be heard and understood!

BUT: We need to make sure our venting doesn't take a sinful route, such as using foul language, hate speech, or escalating into physical harm.

Again, venting is a way to calm ourselves and regain control over our emotions. Doing so can also sometimes strengthen our relationships to where we can move on past whatever issue it may be.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the person you are venting to is someone you can trust, who won't hold you accountable for what was said during that moment. A trusted, Christian friend, or better yet a Christian Counselor.

WAYS WE CAN VENT WITHOUT DISHONORING GOD:

Matthew 12:36
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Ephesians 4:26
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.

Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Jesus warns us that God keeps a record of our words; what we say matters. We can vent, as long as we don't disobey the Lord. We can talk, but we don't rehash things over and over again. We're to forgive and move on.

We're not to use foul language, abusive speech, or develop hateful thoughts. We must regain our self-control and NEVER go to bed angry... "Do not give the devil a foothold!"

Venting is a way of release because bottling it up can cause harm, sickness, anxiety, and/or insomnia, among other things. It's a healthy way to release our emotions, so the devil can't step in and use them to cause more harm.

We're human. We sometimes let our emotions fly. But we don't have to sin in order to express them. So yes, Christians can vent as long as it's done in the proper way, with the proper person, such as a Christian Counselor.

The best person to vent to is God-we can talk to God about anything, and lay it
at his feet!

**DON'T CONFUSE VENTING WITH GOSSIPING**

What's the difference? Basically...

If you're VENTING, the focus is on your thoughts and feelings; about how whatever it may be and how it directly affects you.

If you're GOSSIPING, the focus is usually on trashing the other person.
