To be a proverbs woman in the modern world:
- Is to be a virtuous woman with high moral standards.
- She is a good woman, she loves and respects her husband and she is faithful and loyal.
- She is good to him and talks good about him and treats him well all the days of her life.
- She is her husbands helpmate. She works hard for her family to provide for their needs and she takes care of her household (cooks, cleans, makes sure they have healthy food and clothes).
- She is also a very caring and giving woman, she gives to the poor and needy, and she helps her neighbors. She does what she can to help her husband and to provide for her family (such as a job, housewife, sell things, her own business).
- She is a woman of great strength, she takes care of herself and is there for her family day and night.
- She looks nice and dresses modestly and makes sure her family is clothed nicely as well. She is a very kind and caring woman, she has a great heart, and she is beautiful from the inside out.
- She raises her children in the ways they should go and they call her blessed and her husband is proud and praises her.
- She is a woman of honor, a woman of God, she does what she can to please Him.
- She is a very hard worker and is proud to help her husband and family.
- She is a woman that outshines the other women, because she lives for God, and she is a good, and holy virtuous woman!!
Proverbs 31:10
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
(One of my favorite verses in the bible, a good woman, a virtuous woman is worth more than rubies. We as women should strive to be a good virtuous woman-which means we have high moral standards)
Proverbs 31:11
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
(A proverbs woman is a woman her man can trust, she respects and loves her husband and is faithful)
Proverbs 31:12
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
(She will treat him good and do good things for him and talk good about him for the rest of her life, she is
his helpmate)
Proverbs 31:13
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
(She is a woman who works for her family, she does what she can to provide for them)
Proverbs 31:14
She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
(She provides food for her family and cooks healthy meals to take care of their needs)
Proverbs 31:15
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to
her maidens.
(She gets up early and provides meals for her family and to any helpers she has and any household guests)
Proverbs 31:16
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
(She does what she can to provide for her family, a job, a business, planting a garden)
Proverbs 31:17
She girdeth her loins with strength and strengthen her arms.
(She works hard to provide for her family, she is always working to care for them, so therefore
she is a strong woman, a woman with great strength)
Proverbs 31:18
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle not out at night.
(She makes sure that she provides the best for her family and
she is always there for them when they need her day and night)
Proverbs 31:19
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
(She is always providing for what her family needs)
Proverbs 31:20
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor: yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
(She is a woman who gives to the poor and needy)
Proverbs 31:21
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
(She prepares and makes sure her family is clothed for all the different seasons)
Proverbs 31:22
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
(She makes sure she provides for herself also and dresses nice and modestly)
Proverbs 31:23
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
(He is a well known man, so therefore she makes her husband proud, and others see that)
Proverbs 31:24
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it and deliver girdles unto the merchants.
(She sells things and/or works to provide for her family)
Proverbs 31:25
Strength and honour are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come.
(She is a woman of strength and honor and she dresses this way, she dresses
nice and modest but in a way that shows her strength and honor to her husband
and herself)
Proverbs 31:26
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
(She is a kind and caring woman, she speaks kindly)
Proverbs 31:27
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
(She takes care of the household and her family, she is not a lazy woman)
Proverbs 31:28
Her children rise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
(She raises her children in the way they should go and takes care of them and also
takes care of her husband. Her children will look up to her and feel blessed and
her husband will also feel blessed to have a good wife, and praises her for it)
Proverbs 31:29
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
(She is a woman of God, she is a virtuous woman that exceeds all the other women.
She strives to always do her best)
Proverbs 31:30
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall
be praised.
(She is a woman who is genuine and has a beautiful personality and loves God and lives for God)
Proverbs 31:31
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
(She is a hard worker and has confidence that she can provide for her family and it is known and she is praised for it)
